The Bread Basket?! What is it?

Nestled on a country road in the hills of Middle Tennessee, The Bread Basket serves as a pick-up location for our McKibbon Hollow Small Batch Goods. Featuring repurposed antique windows and my favorite collection of antique china, this all-weather cabinet was built onsite by my talented husband. It’s a self-serve pick-up option. Once you place your order online, you’ll be directed to our sweet little cabinet (The Bread Basket) to pick up your small batch goods at the agreed upon date.

Tell me more about your menu!

We feature a menu of fresh-baked goods as well as a variety of small batch pantry goods.

Our fresh baked goods include: wild-yeast sourdough breads, sourdough bagels, and sweet treats (think flavored scones & rustic bundt cakes!). New in 2023, I launched a yummy product line made with fresh milled flour (whole wheat berries milled from grain to flour).

We also have a variety of small batch pantry goods, too! Organic Spice Blends, Infused Raw Honey, Pure Raw Honey (when in season), Fresh Milled Flour by the pound, a line of Sweet Spreads and of course, Sourdough Granola.

How can I get some of your baked goods?

Simple - just order! Head over to the Shop page (top menu bar, click SHOP HERE). Place what you’d like in your cart, add your preferred pick update, and pay. I’ll confirm your date of pick up, and then you’ll swing by our sweet little cabinet off our driveway (the Bread Basket) to pick up your baked goods made from scratch.

I’ve listed the categories of my Small Batch Goods in the SHOP HERE drop down menu for ease of finding what you want:

  • Culleoka Sourdough (breads, rolls, bagels, sweet rolls, brownies, sourdough starter)

  • Culleoka Scones (fruit scones, sweet scones, seasonal scones, savory scones)

  • Culleoka Sweets (rustic bundt cakes, fresh milled cookies)

  • Fresh Milled Goods (cookies, sandwich loaves, brownies, banana bread bundts)

  • Pantry Goods (fresh milled flour by the pound, organic spice blends, baker’s sugars, McKibbon Hollow raw honey, infused raw honey, granola)

  • Rustic Workshops (sourdough, fresh milled grain, seed starting, bone broth, & bees)

  • Gift Sets (infused honey, spice blends, baker’s sugars, sweet spreads)

Do you bake during the week?

I certainly do! I only bake your website orders during the week. Just make sure to list your preferred date of pick up when you check out.

Do you offer same-day pick up?

Sadly, no. Most of my offerings are Sourdough based, and that wild-yeast needs at least 14 hours ferment time to become delicious. If you place an order by 3:00 p.m., I can offer NEXT day pick-up.

Do you ship your baked goods?

No, sadly. I ventured out into the product shipping world and found that it wasn’t for me. As everything I make is from scratch, my products do not have any preservatives. I want my customers to get baked goods as fresh as possible, so local pick up at the Bread Basket only.

Do you bake gluten-free or sugar-free or dairy-free?

Sadly, I do not offer any gluten-free/dairy-free/sugar-free options from my baker’s kitchen. Given that I use unbleached flours, fresh milled flours, full fat dairy, eggs, nuts/seeds, and all sorts of sugar for my regular baking, I’m unable to guarantee a lack of cross contamination with any allergens. Food allergies are serious business, and because I can’t promise a baked good wouldn’t have crossed paths with an allergen, I just can’t take the risk. I always recommend my most favorite gluten-free local bakery, B Salty & Sweet Bakery for their gluten-free and vegan baked goods, too! We are surrounded by loads of local talented gluten-free/dairy-free/sugar-free bakers - go check them out!

Do you still offer Sourdough Workshops? If so, how can I take one?

Yes! I love, love, love teaching my Rustic Sourdough Workshops. Small gatherings of folks breaking bread together over learning a new skill are my JAM (all the puns intended). If you’d like to host a workshop, reach out to me on social media or by email to get the booking details & set a date. My email is mckibbonhollow@gmail.com.

This all sounds wonderfully dreamy. Baked goods, country roads, pecking chickens, kitchen gardens, bunnies frolicking, honey straight from the hive…

No question - it is DREAMY. And it’s all because of the support of my amazing, loyal customers. THANK YOU for making this the most delightful work; thanks for bringing me to your tables to nourish your families. I’ve got heaps of gratitude to each of you for making my life so full & splendid. It’s been my joy to bake for you.

Here’s to more small batches
