




















From Scratch Workshop Gift Certificate
Come learn a nourishing skill here at McKibbon Hollow! Kicking off in January 2026, my From Scratch Workshop series highlights some of my favorite kitchen and homestead skills. I’d love to have you gathered around my table as we share homemade baked goods from the McKibbon Hollow Baker’s Kitchen, and learn on one of the following topics:
Seed Starting with Winter Sowing: come learn how to start your seeds using what you already have: milk jugs! Tips & Tricks for growing strong and healthy starts to kickoff your 2026 garden.
Fresh Milled Grains: a foundational workshop on all things mills, whole grains, and backing with fresh milled flour. If you are thinking of getting a mill or starting on your fresh milled flour journey, this is a great introductory workshop. We will make bread together (from wheat berry seed to slice).
Bees & Bagels: this workshop is an introduction to beekeeping. we review bee culture, roles in a hive, beekeeping gear, seasoning in beekeeping, and a brief overview of honey extraction. This is a beginners course and we do not get in the hives.
Fermentation: Drinks. Make your own fresh probiotics! Learn how to make the best fermented drinks: kombucha, kefir, and how to use a ginger bug to make your own fruit soda!
Fermentation: Food. Make your own fresh probiotics! Learn how to preserve your garden harvest with fermentation. We will review sauerkraut, pickles, yogurt, and veggie pickling.
Homestead Pantry: Cut out what you can from the grocery store and make these staples from scratch. I teach you how to make: yogurt, coffee creamer, eggnog, spice blends, butter, compound butter, bone broth, homestead ice cream, etc.
Rustic Sourdough: My introductory workshop on all things wild-yeast sourdough. We learn how to care fore and maintain an active healthy sourdough starter and I teach you how to make my customer favorite bread, the Sourdough Boule.
Sweet Sourdough: This is my advanced sourdough Workshop, some knowledge of baking with sourdough is required. I teach you how to make and shape Sourdough Babka, Sourdough Cinnamon Roll Focaccia, Sourdough Sweet Rolls and Sourdough French Loaves.
Soups & Sourdough Breads: New in 2026, this workshop will walk you through how to make my favorite soup recipes and pair with homemade Sourdough breads.
Savory Salads & Sourdough Breads: New in 2026, this workshop will walk you through how to make my favorite meal prep item: the savory salad!
All participants of workshops receive a packet of tired and true recipes and resources on their topic, and where applicable, receive a ferment starter to take home (sourdough starter, yogurt, ginger bug, etc.). The recipient will receive an email in Spring 2026 with the Schedule of Events outlining dates for workshops. New topics may be added throughout the year and the gift certificate is good for any workshop held at McKibbon Hollow in 2026.
